Mildred (Craig) King

Mildred (Craig) King died Feb. 28 at Whitefish after a previous illness. Cremation has taken place and at her request, no services are planned. At a later date her ashes will be placed at the Fortine Cemetery.

She was born at Sandpoint, Idaho, Sept. 21, 1928 and grew up at Sagle, Idaho. Later she moved with her parents to McMinnville, Ore. She went to high school there, later marrying Ford Lady and having three children, they later divorced. She married George Dempsey on April 27, 1965, he died in 1987, they lived in Spokane for 19 years. She moved to Eureka in 1998 to be close to her daughter Judith Pomeroy. She met Fred King and fell in love with him, they were married Jan. 29, 2000.

She was proceeded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, Hazel and Otto Craig; a brother, Ray Craig, and a daughter Judith Pomeroy survivors include, her beloved husband Fred, son Rolly Lady and wife Bunni, a daughter Vonnie Waltion and husband tom, a sister Mary Dimmitt, and husband Ivan, seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
