Prayer day

World Day of Prayer will take place at 1 p.m., Friday, March 4, at the Klothes Kloset. Members of Church Women United will lead the program and serve refreshments. Glacier Christian School students will sing.

Income tax help

Income tax preparation for seniors is available Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at North Valley Senior Center. This free public service is sponsored by AARP.

Heritage Days

Next Heritage Days committee meeting will take place March 8 at 6 p.m. at the City Hall. The committee will select a theme for the 2005 Heritage Days. They desperately need volunteers.

Chamber banners

The Columbia Falls Chamber and Community Foundation is working on replacing the old blue and white banners displayed in the summer with new banners showcasing the Chamber logo and the words "Gateway to Glacier." The Community Pride Committee and Community Foundation have selected the design. If a business would like to donate to this banner effort, or would like to make any other donation, they may mail a check to the foundation or chamber. Student of the week

Clayton Patterson, a freshman at Columbia Falls High School, has been selected student of the week for the week of March 4. He was nominated because he is very helpful, has a great sense of humor and is courteous. Clayton is the son of Len and Cindy Patterson, of Columbia Falls, and he receives a personal pan pizza compliment of Pizza Hut.

Pancake breakfast

The Columbia Falls Lions Club will hold its annual pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center March 19. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, juice and coffee. Cost is $3.50 for adults, $3 for youths 12 and under or $12 per family. Tickets are available from any Lion member or at the door.

Grad party

The 2005 graduation party meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., March 7, at the high school cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Chamber meets

Columbia Falls Chamber meets at noon March 8 at the community center. Guest speaker will be Flathead County Commissioner Gary Hall.

Baseball sign-ups

Columbia Falls baseball will have its annual registration for youngsters ages 5 through 19 at Glacier Gateway School March 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Softball signups

Columbia Falls girls softball signup forms are at Glacier Bank, Whitefish Credit Union and First Citizens Bank. Forms are due in by March 13.
