Track awards given out

The Whitefish High School track coaches recently handed out the 2005 track and field awards.

They are: Best newcomer, boys, Luke Haverkorn, girls, Lauren Kuennen. Most improved, boys, Mike McCracken, girls, Emily English. Most outstanding distance, boys, Luke Snaric, girls, Anne Danczyk. Most outstanding jumper, boys, Chris Hicks, girls, Erom Greiner. Most outstanding hurdler, boys, Bjorn Peterson, girls, Ashley Ferda. Most outstanding thrower, boys, Todd Harthan, girls, Tayler Bertelsen. Mr. Bulldog track and field, boys, Chris Hicks. Miss Lady Bulldog track and field, Courtney Ferda. "Matt Helgath" spirit of competition, Tim Ahlor. "Cody Henning" sportsmanship, Phillip Bertelsen. Spirit of competition, Marni Hale. Sportsmanship award, Carmel Johnston.

Whitfish High School head track coach is Derek Schulz. Assistant coaches include Bill Brist, Megan Pepe, Scot Ferda, Kelliann Blackburn, Jeremy Anderson, Colleen Sullivan, Rob Carter, Al Kuntz and Tom Hodges. Kim Van Duzer is the athletic trainer.
