Bertha Raemaeker

Bertha Mary Raemaeker, 88, of Lakewood, Colo., and formerly of Cut Bank, died at the Meridian Care Center in Lakewood of natural causes.

Bertha was born Aug. 3, 1916, in Williams to Oscar and Felicie Van Daele and was raised in Conrad. She and James Raemaeker were wed on Oct. 23, 1935, at Sacred Heart Parish, east of Valier. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, St. Margaret Guild Society, and Cursilcista. Bertha was a very spiritual woman.

Bertha loved to sew and crochet and had made afghans for her children and grandchildren. Bertha was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1986; her daughter Joan Raemaeker; her parents; her sisters Martha Van Daele and Mary Bingaman; and her brother Andrew Van Daele.

Bertha is survived by daughters Carol and husband Larry Broere, of Littleton, Colo., Joyce and husband Pete Schuster, of Glentana, Judy and husband Gene Lotspeich, of Lakewood, Colo., and Cathy Vasboe, of Arvada, Colo.; sons Bob and wife Sharon, of Choteau, Ken and wife Sharon, of Whitefish, Jack and wife Karen, of Great Falls, and Will and wife Linda, of Soldatna, Alaska; her sister Yvonne Keolker; 24 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Burial took place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at the Belgium Colony Church in Valier.
