Save the hospital

| April 6, 2005 11:00 PM

Lack of a critical access designation by the federal government threatens the future of North Valley Hospital just when it's in the midst of a much needed expansion.

Anyone who drives across the valley can see what's going on-growth. Subdivisions are filling up the valley's agriculture lands, stressing public services.

Health is one of those public services, and it's growing even if the population doesn't. New and different kinds of health care appear on the market every day.

Folks in the north end of the valley-Columbia Falls, Whitefish and the Canyon-need a community hospital.

Political pressure is needed to persuade the federal government to retain North Valley Hospital's critical access designation. We urge you to contact your Congressmen.
