Chamber meets

The Columbia Falls Chamber lunch is April 12 at noon at the North Valley Community Room.    Lunch is available for $8 which includes gratuity. Guest speaker is Michael Daigle of Glacier Park International Airport

Snow day

Snow make-up day for Columbia Falls schools is Saturday, April 23. Classes will begin at the regular time and will run 2.5 hours. Schedules for the day's activities will be sent home with students. Buses will run. No breakfast or lunch will be served.

Student of the week

Derrick Downing, a junior at Columbia Falls High School, is student of the week for April 4. He was nominated because he picked up a bunch of papers that were dropped without being asked and set them in a neat pile without asking for recognition. Derrick is the son of Darcy Sorenson and receives a personal pan pizza compliment of Pizza Hut.

Library association

The Columbia Falls Library Association meets at 7 p.m. April 12 in the library. New members are welcome.

Oklahoma!

The Columbia Falls High School drama club will put on the musical Oklahoma! Shows are April 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Falls High School Little Theater. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and $5 for seniors. They're available at the door or at Glacier Wallflower, Western Outdoors and Towne Printer.

Eagles 'sketti'

The North Valley Eagles will have a spaghetti sauce cook-off at 4 p.m. April 9. Entry fee is $5, spaghetti dinner is $5. Public welcome. Call 892-4081 for more information.

Valleyaires show

The Flathead Valleyaires Barbershop Chorus will have a show at the Flathead High School Auditorium at 7:34 p.m. April 23. Show is free, but donations help raise funds for scholarships for budding high school musicians across the valley.

Twins camps

The Glacier Twins will hold baseball camps for boys and girls April 16 and April 17. The April 16 camp starts at 10 a.m. for ages 5-12, and the April 17 camp starts at 1 p.m. for ages 13-16. Call 863-4808 for more information.

Music events

Ed Vernarsky on piano, Bill Thompson on bass and Jim Buxton on drums will play April 10 at the Kalispell Eagles Club from 4 to 7 p.m. Jazz Society members will be admitted with their paid membership card. There's a $5 charge for non-members. This will be the last jazz party until September.

Children's theater

Ruder Elementary will host the Missoula Children's Theater Production of The Frog Prince, April 9. Shows are at 3 and 7 p.m. at the Junior High Cafetorium. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 children, $10 family.
