William Ladenburg

William Michael "Bill" Ladenburg, 48, passed away Aug 25, 2004, at his home in Milan, Ill., after a nine-month battle with brain cancer.

He was born Sept 12, 1955, in Kalispell to John and Jennie Ladenburg, of Columbia Falls. In 1989, he married LuAnne Baker, of Milan, Ill.

Bill spent most of his working years as a timber faller in Montana, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Arizona and in construction in later years in Montana, Louisiana, Hawaii and Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his wife, LuAnne, in 1993; his father, John, in 1987; cousin James; and brother Charles in 1995; as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his son John, 13, of Milan, Ill.; his mother Jennie, of Columbia Falls; two sisters, Martha and Pat Philbin, of Columbia Falls, and Paula and Steve Land, of Seattle; brothers Joseph and Darlene, of Texas, Matthew and Denise, of Havre, Mark and Sherrie, of Columbia Falls, and Patrick and Renate, of Libby; eight nephews; one niece; a great nephew; two aunts, Irene Ladenburg, of Columbia Falls, and Ellen Lynch, of Washington; two uncles, Charles and Marge Pemble, and Fay and Audrey Pemble; 40 first cousins; stepson Carson Baker, of Italy; stepdaughter Courtney and son Brandan Baker, of Rock Island, Ill.; brother-in-law James and Cheryl Posateri, of Milan, Ill., and their children, Jamie, of Chicago, Nick, of Finland, and Danny, of Milan, Ill.; and many other in-laws.

Visitation will be held at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls on Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Columbia Falls on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Rudy Bullman officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.
