Seniors Halloween

Halloween entertainment at North Valley Senior Center will be presented by the Montana Oldtime Fiddlers. Music will be from 2 until 6 p.m., Sunday, with the public invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. More details may be obtained from Roxy Larsen, Center manager.

Halloween bash

The annual Jack-O-Lantern Festival for children will happen here from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in downtown Columbia Falls. There will be a scream contest, a costume contest and a pumpkin-carving contest, so kids, bring your best pumpkin. There will also be food and entertainment. It's a safe way to spend Halloween.

Foreign exchange

There will an informational meeting for Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell and Bigfork students interested in becoming an AFS foreign exchange student in the 2005-2006 school year on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Whitefish Independent High School, located on the corner of Seventh Street and Park Avenue in Whitefish. Those interested in becoming an AFS exchange student but who are not able to attend the meeting, or those who want more information, call Ray Boksich at 862-3430 or 212-0261.

Christmas Bazaar

St. Richard's Church in Columbia Falls will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 13. There will Christmas items, baked goods, a raffle and lunch, including homemade pies. Sounds good, pretty good doesn't it?

Community kitchen

The Columbia Falls Community Kitchen will be serving free meals at 6 p.m. in the basement of St. Richard's Catholic Church beginning Thursday, Oct. 28 through, Sunday, Oct. 31.

Iverson benefit

There will be a benefit for Jerome Iverson to help with medical costs on Oct. 29 at North Valley Eagles Club. Dinner and silent auction from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live auction starts at 8 p.m. and the live music at 9 p.m.

Eagles Halloween

North Valley Eagles Club is having a Halloween party. The festivities begin at 8 p.m., so please wear a costume.

Precinct change

Voters in Precinct 21 will not be casting ballots at the Montana Veterans Home on Nov. 2. Construction at the Montana Veterans Home prohibits access to the polling place.

Because of the inconvenience to voters, the polling place will be transferred to the North Valley Baptist Church at 1750 Talbott Road, which is a short distance from the Montana Veterans Home, for this election only. For questions or concerns, please call Paula Robinson at 758-5530.

Vegetarian cooking

There will be a vegetarian cooking and nutrition class at the North Valley Senior Center Nov. 7, 14 and 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. each night. The class is sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventists Church in Columbia Falls. Call 387-5028 or 250-3619 for more information.
