Shelley Cole

Shelley Cureau Cole, 44, of Columbia Falls, died after a long battle with cancer Oct. 24, 2004, at the Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born March 5, 1960, to John P. and Lucy Cureau in Atlanta, Ga.

Shelley attended Libby High School and graduated in 1978. During high school, she worked as a cook at Henry's in Libby, and after graduation she worked for a short time at St. Regis Paper Co.

She attended Salish Kootenai College for her RN degree. Following graduation, she continued her profession at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center for about 13 years.

Shelley was an avid outdoors person, loving fishing, hunting and swimming, and she also cooked for an outfitter in the Bob Marshall during vacation. She loved music, cooking, sewing, artwork, and gardening.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelley and Sarah, of Columbia Falls; her parents; four brothers, Carlton, Eric, Curtis and Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Oct. 30, 2004, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A reception followed the service at the North Valley Eagles in Columbia Falls.

William Bain

William J. Bain, of Columbia Falls, passed away Oct. 25, 2004, at the North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

He was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Kalispell to James and Marion Bain.

He served in the Army from 1940 to 1942. He worked as a supervisor at an ordnance company for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Bain, of Columbia Falls; a son, Larry Bain, of Hungry Horse; two daughters, Laurie Farmer, of California, and Bonnie Coutsourakis, of Hawaii.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Columbia Falls.

Isabelle Pasquale

Isabelle Pasquale, 78, passed away peacefully while in the tender care of hospice nurses at Heritage Place in Kalispell on Oct. 27, 2004.

She was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 27, 1926, to Frances and Thomas Johnston shortly after they arrived from Ireland. She graduated from Temple University in 1948, where she was a championship swimmer. She married George James Pasquale in 1949, her beloved husband, who preceded her in death in 1991.

In 1962, she became a physical education teacher at South Philadelphia High School, where she remained until her retirement in the late 1980s. She was a well-read woman of exceptional taste and a great storyteller, and she possessed a terrific sense of humor. She was gracious and considerate to all around her and known for her warm hospitality.

She is survived by her two daughters and their families, Sandra Pasquale Nogal and her husband, Stephen, of Kalispell, and Linda Pasquale Crum and her husband, Jim, of Houston, Texas, and their sons Buck, Andy, and Jake.

In lieu of services and flowers, the family suggests a donation to their favorite charity in her memory.

Allen Haag

Allen Haag, 59, passed away Oct. 22, 2004, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

He was born April 8, 1945, in Kalispell, the son of Raymond Emil and Irene Vivian Haag.

Allen graduated from Bigfork High School in 1963. He joined the Army Reserve and served for six years. He worked at Plum Creek in Evergreen for a time. Then he worked at Columbia Falls Aluminum Co., where he worked until his death.

He loved visiting family and friends. He enjoyed working around the home and yard planting trees. He also enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arnold Haag and sister Hazel Kiser.

He is survived by two brothers, Clifford Haag and Dick Haag; sisters Carol Learn and Dorothy Fredericks; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30, 2004. Burial followed at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane, 1015 West Fifth Avenue, Spokane WA 99204.

Richard Hutchisson

Richard Allan Hutchisson Sr., 70, passed away on Oct. 28, 2004. He was born on Sept. 15, 1934, in Portales, N.M.

He served in the Navy from 1956 to 1960.

He married Virginia Lee Doggett on Feb. 1, 1959, in Aurora, Colo. He raised his two stepsons as his own and was also blessed with a son and daughter.

He worked for Plum Creek for 13 years before retiring.

He loved woodcarving, working in his yard and, more recently, needlework. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary I. and James Z. Thorne.

He is survived by his wife Virginia (Ginny); daughter Crystal and son-in-law Mike Jurva; grandchildren Heather, Jennifer and James; sons Allan Hutchisson, Bill Shafer and John Shafer; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

There will be a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2004, at 1 p.m.

Mildred Ezell

Mildred "Millie" Ezell, 86, died Oct. 26, 2004, at Heritage Place in Kalispell.

She was born May 28, 1918, in Dunn County, N.D., the daughter of Frank Trinka Jr. and Josephine (Tuma) Trinka.

She married John J. Barta on Feb. 11, 1935, in Dickinson, N.D. They had two daughters, two sons-in-law and a granddaughter when they moved to Polson. A few years later, they made their home in Kalispell. John passed away on May 16, 1976.

Millie had been employed by the Dickinson Public School System to set up and assist with the first hot lunch program in the city school district. After the loss of John, she returned to work as a cook's helper at a school in Kalispell.

Millie married Tex Ezell on Jan.19, 1979, in Kalispell. Together they enjoyed their retirement years. Tex passed away on May 23, 2001.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers and their spouses, William and Margaret Trinka, of Michigan, and Charles and Mildred Trinka, of Arizona.

Millie is survived by two daughter, June Olson and husband Harlan, of Williamsburg, Va., and Nadine Kainz and husband Cliff, of Warrenton, Va.; great granddaughter Breanna Hart, of Burlington, N.C.; grandson Chad J. Kainz, of Chicago, Ill., stepdaughters, Sylvia Harant, of Black Eagle, Mary Ezell Taylor, of Kalispell, and Tammy Ezell, of Great Falls; six step granddaughters, including Kaylene Taylor, of Kalispell; and several step great grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be at Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A private family service was held Oct. 28, 2004.
