Thanks, Karl

A lot of folks donated plenty of time and effort into making Heritage Days 2004 a great success.

The Wildcat Athletic Endowment Auction, for example, will make about $25,000, and Mick Washburn put on a great barbecue.

We'd also like to thank the Heritage Days Committee members who put the time and effort into putting the event together.

But most importantly, we'd really like to thank the voice of Heritage Days—Karl Skindingsrude.

Karl donated his time and talents and equipment and was the announcer at the auction, the parade and the Boogie to the Bank, and he was in the thick of the smoke at the burnout competition at the end of the day.

That makes for two long days.

Three cheers to Skindingsrude. Over the decades he has become the friendly voice of Columbia Falls. The community wouldn't be the same without him and neither would any of our events.
