A successful tourney

To the editor,

Another Heritage Days 3-on-3 basketball tournament has come and gone, and what a big success it was this year. As chairman of the Sports/Education Committee, I would like to express a big thank you for all the community support demonstrated this year.

We had 49 teams, from fifth and sixth grade boys and girls up to Merchants/Alumni Men.

We would like to express a special thank you to all 22 corporate sponsors and 27 team sponsors. Prizes for first, second, and third were donated by Rocky Mountain Images/Plum Creek, Glacier Bank and Century Tel. This year, due to the generous donations from First Citizen's Bank, Glacier Bank, Lyle Mitchell-State Farm, Bob Pearce-Edward Jones investments, Ross Pickert and Jim Thompson, we were able to purchase six portable baskets. Lettering on each backboard was donated by The Engraver.

Due to the strong support provided by businesses and individuals such as these, Columbia Falls community pride shines. Again, thank you for your support.

Bill Brunett, Sports/Education Committee
