Here's what you'll get if Bush is elected

| August 25, 2004 11:00 PM

Frequently it seems pointless to write letters to the editor, especially in this part of the world where so many are blind to what is really happening to their world. But, pen in hand, I'm doing it anyway.

A vote for George Bush is a vote in favor of the elimination of overtime pay for 6 million workers in this country.

A vote for George Bush is a vote in favor of dirtier power plants and, as a result dirtier air.

A vote for George Bush is a vote in favor of exposing pregnant women to dangerous chemicals in semiconductor plants.

A vote for George Bush is a vote to reduce even further a rollback of mercury regulations.

A vote for George Bush is a vote to reduce protections for mine workers and to increase the number of cases of tuberculosis.

And, what's more, it's a vote for more pointless wars.

Vote for George Bush is this is what you want.
