Lady Dog harriers nab second place

The Whitefish girls cross country team ran their way to a second-place finish at the Cut Bank Time Trials on Friday.

The team took silver with a combined score of 60, behind Flathead’s 68. Jessica Henson was the team’s top finisher at third place (19:39.90).

Josephine Vardell was next in line for Whitefish at ninth (20:01.20).

On the boys side, Miles Vrentas took seventh as the Bulldogs’ highest finisher (16:55.36). The team as a whole took sixth.

This week the team travels down to Kalispell for the Flathead Invite on Saturday at Rebecca Farm. That starts at 11 a.m.
