The Annual Governorís Cup operated by the Montana Chamber of Commerce will take place on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3 on the South Course. Tee times will be available on the North Course both days for member and guest play. Whitefish Lake Golf Club hosts the Governorís Cup every other year.

Conquer the Long

Bunker Shot

That 40 yard shot to the green from a bunker can be a tough one to master. For the best results donít use your sand wedge but choose your gap or pitching wedge instead. Your sand wedge will most likely come up well short for most players whereas the gap or pitching with a slightly open face will allow you to carry the ball further and add some spin to stop it quickly. You will want to hit the sand a few inches behind the ball and your focus should not be on the ball but on the location you wish to hit the sand.
