Bulldog athlete Lee Walburn will continue his athletic career into college, joining the track team at Carroll College in Helena next year.

Walburn led the Bulldogs basketball team to a 15-9 record in the winter and is currently looking to make a run in the post season as a track athlete this spring.

Walburn competes in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, the 400 meter dash, high jump and the 4x400 meter relay.

He said visiting the campus and meeting the coaches sold him on Carrol, and that a smaller school fits his learning style better.

While he doesn’t yet know what he’ll study, he said he’s excited to get started and see what he can do at the school.

“[I’m excited for] meeting new people and just seeing what’s going to happen with track and how far I can push it,” he said.
