FVSEF skiers earn spots on podium in Red Lodge

Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation ski racers topped both U16 and U19 Menís podiums at The Northern Division Winterstart Slalom Camp & Race at Red Lodge Mountain held on Dec. 15-17.

The event, hosted by Silver Run Ski Club of Red Lodge, included two days of training in various elements of slalom racing and one day of racing. Teams from across Montana and South Dakota (Black Hills) were in attendance.

FVSEF Race Team skiers fared well as Colter Upton took first place in U19 Menís Slalom, while and Tyler Anderson and Colin Harper placed first and third in the U16 Menís race.

Upcoming events for FVSEF skiers include Jan. 4-6 races at Big Sky and Bridger Bowl, Jan. 18-20 races at Terry Peak, South Dakota and then returning home for the Sportsman Ski Haus U14 Tech Series at Whitefish Mountain Resort on Jan. 26-28.
