Police Calls: Mystery of the orange string

May 4

Someone found a snowboard on the side of the street on Edgewood Place and a tire was found in the road. 

A driver on State Park Road was given a warning for having two brake lights out. 

A driver on Second Street was given a warning for speeding, failure to carry a driver’s license and having the wrong color on his registration. 

The white male with long white socks who was sitting on the corner near City Hall yelling at people was counselled. 

Garbage cans were tipped over in the alley from Second Street to Fourth Street. 

May 21

Three accidental calls to 911 were made in three hours. 

The caller reported being chased by a German Shepherd on East Second Street. The dog nipped at her dog. 

A citizen on Somers Avenue asked if he could have a small, contained fire in a fire pit. 

When the caller returned to his condo, he found it suspicious that there was an orange string across the door. 

It appeared that two unauthorized males were in a building on East First Street.
