Work session on economic chapter of growth policy update

The Whitefish Community Development Board will have a work session on Wednesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. to discuss the draft economic development chapter of the city’s growth policy update, Vision Whitefish 2045.  

The city hired an economic development consultant to study Whitefish’s economic drivers and trends, and they engaged local stakeholders in business, tourism and industry for input. Based on that study and other feedback, the draft chapter was completed and community goals and objectives related to economic development were outlined. The community is invited to participate as the Board reviews and discusses the draft chapter with city planning staff. 

The meeting will be in the City Council conference room on the second floor of Whitefish City Hall, 418 E. Second St., at 6 p.m. To review the chapter prior to the meeting, please see the link at www.engagewhitefish.com. People are encouraged to subscribe to that website to keep updated on the progress of the plan or provide comments.
