NO. 2819 WHITEFISH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING    At a meeting of the Whitefish Community Development Board on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the Board will hold a public hearing on the items listed below. The Board meets in the Whitefish Council Chambers at City Hall, at 418 E. 2nd Street Whitefish, Montana.  1. POSTPONED FROM MAY MEETING: A request by Haley and Bevan Evans for a variance from the 50-foot front yard setback and 10% lot coverage in order to develop a new single-family home. A request by Frank Lamb for a variance from the 10-foot side yard setback in order to develop a new single-family home. The property is currently developed with a single-family home and is zoned WR-2 (Two-Family Residential District). The property is located at 415 Columbia Avenue and can be legally described as Lot 20, south 15-feet of Lot 21, Block 64, Whitefish Original in Section 36, Township 31 N, Range 22 W, P.M.M, Flathead County (WZV 25-05) Macdonald. 3. A request by the City of Whitefish for a Zoning Text Amendment to the city’s formula retail business standards, amending Section 11-2J-2 permitted uses, and 11-2J-3, conditional uses, WB-1 District; Section 11-2L-2 permitted uses, and 11-2L-3, conditional uses, WB-3 District; 11-9-2 Definitions; and adding new section 11-3-44, Formula Business Standards. NO. 2820 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Whitefish City Council will consider adopting the proposed preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2026 at its regular meeting to be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 7:10 p.m. in the Whitefish City Council Chambers at 418 East Second Street. Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the public meeting and be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget. The proposed budget has been placed on file and is available for inspection in the City Clerk’s office located at 418 East Second Street. For further information please contact Finance Director, Lanie Gospodarek, at 406-863-2405 or lgospodarek@cityofwhitefish.org. NO. 2821 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CITY COUNCIL COMPENSATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 7:10 p.m., the Whitefish City Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input regarding City Council compensation.  On November 5, 2024, voters approved an amendment to the City’s Charter allowing members of the City Council to receive compensation, such as a salary, stipend, City-paid health insurance. Compensation must be set by resolution after a public hearing. City Council held multiple work sessions to discuss the City Council compensation package and the effective date. If you would like to review a copy of the proposed compensation package or have additional questions, please contact the City Manager’s Office at dsmith@cityofwhitefish.gov or by calling (406) 863-2406.
