NO. 2814 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SOLID WASTE RATES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 7:10 p.m., the Whitefish City Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the proposed solid waste rates. On May 2, 2022, the City Council approved a 10-year contract amendment with Montana Waste Systems, Inc. dba North Valley Refuse and locally referred to as Republic Services. The contract amendment provides a 3.25% annual increase for Republic Services. The proposed rate increase covers the costs associated with the contract, as well as the cost of billing services provided by the City. If you would like to review a copy of the proposed rates or have questions, please contact the Utility Billing Office at utilities@cityofwhitefish.gov or 406-863-2457. Individuals may attend in person or join the live virtual meeting to provide comment or submit written testimony for the hearing to comment on the proposed solid waste rates.
