Whitefish Lake Institute hosts Science Quencher

Scientists and conservationists will present current research on Northwest Montana’s flora, fauna and changing environment at Whitefish Lake Institute’s Science Quencher on April 25 from 5-7 p.m. at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake.   

This event is free and open to the public. Blase Reardon from the Flathead Avalanche Center will speak on Avalanche Hindcasting, Tabitha Graves, USGS Research Ecologist, will present the buzz on Bumble Bees, Jami Belt from the Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center will fill us in on the Pika Pellet Patrol Project, and Sheena Pate will give us an update on Flathead Rivers Alliance’s efforts to safeguard the Flathead River.   

The Science Quencher is a fun local gathering that explores intriguing topics and the presenters are passionate about their work and love sharing with the audience. Come learn something new. 

Complimentary refreshments are served from 5:00-5:30 p.m. followed by 10-15 minute “lightning round” talks with time for questions. Come join the conversation.
