Thank you for winter decorations
The Whitefish Shines decorations committee would like to thank the many community volunteers, Flathead Electric Coop Linemen, the city of Whitefish, Terri Conat/Rocky Mountain Painting, and Glacier Painting for their assistance in hanging and taking down the winter decorations this winter season.
Special thanks to the Whitefish High School National Honor Society students who helped to put the finishing touches on the historic snowflake refurbishing project, and to the Whitefish Community Foundation for a grant that helped to fund that project.
The 2024/25 winter season marked the 75th year of this all-volunteer community project. We will need continued community support to build 30 new garland-covered snowflakes to hang along Second Street from Memorial Bridge to Grouse Mountain Lodge.
Donations can be mailed to Whitefish Shines P.O. Box 695 Whitefish, Montana, 59937. Those interested in helping with the decorations project can contact Chris Schustrom at 406-260-1198.
Thanks again,
Jim Trout, Trek Stephens, Michelle Howke, Mike Powers, Lynn Cherrington, Chris Schustrom
