NO. 2812 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SOLID WASTE RATES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 7:10 p.m., the Whitefish City Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the proposed solid waste rates.  On May 2, 2022, the City Council approved a contract amendment with Montana Waste Systems, Inc. dba North Valley Refuse and locally referred to as Republic Services. The contract amendment provides a 3.25% annual increase for Republic Services. Rates were last increased in June 2022. The proposed monthly rate adjustment covers the costs associated with the contract, as well as the cost of billing services provided by the City.  If you would like to review a copy of the proposed rates or have additional questions, please contact the Utility Billing Office at utilities@cityofwhitefish.gov or by calling 406-863-2457 during business hours. Individuals may attend in person or join the live virtual meeting to provide comment or submit written testimony for the hearing to comment on the proposed solid waste rates.
