Celebrate family and friends at spring choir concert

| April 10, 2025 12:00 AM

The Columbia Falls Community Choir will celebrate family and friends for its spring concert on April 12.

Many of the song themes express caring, love and appreciation for people we meet in our lives. “Meeting We Are Blessed” is an a cappella selection accompanied by an African drum called a djembe.  The choir will also perform “Look to the Rainbow,” from the film “Finian’s Rainbow,” “More I Cannot Wish You,” from the musical “Guys and Dolls,” and a love song by pop band, Savage Garden titled “I Knew I Loved You.”

The choir will also sing one of its favorite songs, “The Family We Find Along the Way,” which expresses how people have different types of families that play an important part in life. This song is accompanied by piano and cajon.

The concert is directed by Steven Holte and accompanied by Dawn Hashley.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Columbia Falls High School little theater. Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of renting the space and purchasing music.
