The Whitefish Voter Review Commission, the group conducting the local government review study, has put out a survey to review and assess Whitefish’s local government. This is an opportunity for residents to shape the future of the community by sharing feedback.

Every 10 years, voters decide if they want to review the form of their local government. This year, Whitefish voters approved a review.

“We would love as much public input as possible because the point of local government review is to evaluate how the public views their government,” said Kevin McDowell, one of the five members elected to the study.

Insights gathered will help the Voter Review Commission to better serve the community.

The survey is available at  https://engagewhitefish.com/local-government-review/surveys/local-government-review-commission-community-survey-2

Monthly commissioner meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Additional opportunities to participate in the discussion include a podcast at Montana Tap House at 7 p.m. on April 9, an open house at Montana Tap House at 6:30 p.m. on April 24, and at the public hearing to adopt the tentative report at City Hall on May 29 at 6 p.m.

The deadline for the survey is May 15. Paper surveys are available by contacting
Michelle Howke, city clerk, at (406)863-2402 or mhowke@cityofwhitefish.go
