Whitefish volleyball spikes Libby and Corvallis

Whitefish had a busy week on the road, defeating Libby 25-11, 25-14, 25-11 on Thursday, Sept.12.

Yoli Krastev had seven kills in the match, while Izzy Hartwig added five. Hartwig was also a power at the net, notching four blocks. Maggie Mercer anchored the defense with 21 digs and served up five aces.

Two days later against Corvallis, Whitefish won 25-19, 25-13, 25-8. Hartwig led the team with 10 kills and three blocks. Mercer had 17 digs while Kaydence Blackwell had 10 assists and seven digs.

Myli Ridgeway also had nine kills.

On the same day, Whitefish fell to Hamilton 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 26-24. Hartwig led the team with 17 kills while Camry Kelch had 11. Mercer had 21 digs, while Myli Ridgeway had eight kills and 16 digs.

Blackwell had 15 assists and 14 digs while Allie Shors notched 19 assists and eight digs.

“The girls played really hard this past week despite some really long days,” Whitefish Head Coach Addy Connelly said. 

On Sept. 10, the varsity team won against Browning in straight sets.

Whitefish hosted Bigfork on Tuesday, then travels to Ronan for another conference match on Thursday against Ronan.
