Quench your thirst for science at Whitefish Lake Institute’s Science Quencher. Fish, sheep, owls and rivers will be the topics discussed by local scientists at this event held on April 26, 5-7 p.m. at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

This event is an opportunity to engage with local science experts who will share their passion for natural resource and conservation issues.

Speakers include Sam Bourret, fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute and chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group.

“The Science Quencher is a fun local gathering,” said Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute. “It touches on a few different topics, the presenters are passionate about what they do and love sharing it with the audience. I always walk away learning something new.”

The presentations are 10-15 minute ”lightning round” talks with time for questions.
