Whitefish spikers down Loggers in straight sets

The Lady Bulldogs came out firing against the Libby Loggers on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Whitefish High School.

Whitefish defeated the Loggers in straight sets and were in control throughout the match, winning 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.

In the match, Bulldog junior Brooke Zetooney had 10 kills, two blocks and six digs. Myli Ridgeway added seven kills, a block and eight digs for the home team.

Whitefish’s Ainsley Scott handled the assists with 22.

Hailey Ells racked up six kills and four aces for Whitefish.

“Pink night success for Whitefish,” coach Addy Connelly said. “We ran a steady offense tonight and played aggressive in the back row.”

Libby’s Elania Covington had three kills and as a team, the Loggers had five aces.

Whitefish was set to play again on Tuesday at Stillwater in Kalispell after press time. Then the Bulldogs play in the Butte Central Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
