Woody Weekend activities set June 24-26

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Whitefish Woody Weekend and the 100th Anniversary of Chris Craft Boats, the Big Sky Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society presents the Whitefish Woody Weekend X on June 24-26.

Whitefish Woody Weekend, hosted by the Lodge at Whitefish Lake, is one of the premier classic boat events and will feature 39 classic wood boats from all over the Pacific Northwest, California and Utah, including four gold and five platinum award winners from last year’s ACBS International Boat Show in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Whitefish Woody Weekend X will begin on Friday evening June 24 with a sunset cruise/parade around beautiful Whitefish Lake. The classic boats will be on public display at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 25. Sunday morning, June 26 will feature a poker run with the wood boats out on the lake followed by a barbecue on the beach at the lodge for event participants.

The public is encouraged to join the fun on the lake or on the beaches, decks and docks around the lake for the Friday evening cruise; or to enjoy the boats up close and met the owners of these fine representatives of the art and craftsmanship of the past on Saturday at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake Marina. The public is invited to vote for their favorite boat to determine the People’s Choice Award winner. There will be drawings throughout the day for public boat rides on one of the classic beauties.

All boat activities are free and open to the public.
