City Council to meet Jan. 18

Whitefish City Council meets on Tuesday, Jan. 18 beginning at 7:10 p.m. at City Hall.

Individuals are encouraged to provide written public comment; to the City Clerk, Michelle Howke at mhowke@cityofwhitefish.org or deliver by 3 p.m. on Jan. 18, at City Hall in the Utility Drop Box.

Items on the agenda, subject to change:

• Administration of the ceremonial oath of office to Councilor Ben Davis.

• Consideration of an ordinance amending the Climate Action Plan committee.

• Consideration of an ordinance approving the Mountain Gateway Planned Unit Development located at East Lakeshore Drive and Big Mountain Road.

• Consideration of an ordinance rezoning land located at the intersection of East Lakeshore Drive and Big Mountain Road from WR-2, two-family residential to neighborhood commercial.

During a work session at 6:15 p.m., Council is set to discuss with the Climate Action Plan Committee a community solar and Flathead Electric cooperation project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work session will be available for participation in person or remotely through Webex.
