An accident involving a school bus occurred Wednesday morning on Montana Highway 40.

In a letter to families, Whitefish Superintendent Dave Means said it was a minor accident and all students and staff involved are safe with no injuries reported. He added that even though it was minor, the district's intention is to notify families any time a school bus is involved in an accident.

The accident was at the intersection of Conn Road and Montana 40 when a car pulled out in front of the bus traveling west on the highway.

The Montana Highway Patrol assessed the situation and the students were transported to school on the bus.
