No. 2599 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The regular meeting of the Whitefish City Council will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 7:10 pm in the City Council Chambers or via Virtual Webex Video Conferencing. Instructions to participate virtually will be located on the City Council agenda once posted on the City's webpage: https://www.cityofwhitefish.org/AgendaCenter. The Whitefish City Council will hold three public hearings for the purpose of receiving public input, as follows: 1. A request to vacate and abandon an improved public alley located between Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of Block 45, Whitefish and Lot 1 of South Central Subdivision pursuant to ยง 7-14-4114 M.C.A 2. Consideration of adopting an increase for fees for public skate and ice skate rental at the Stumptown Ice Den. 3. A proposed resolution of the Whitefish City Council to submit to the electors of the City qualified to vote the question of whether, to approve the existing resort tax for an additional twenty-year term past the current expiration date, thereby extending the resort tax through January 31, 2045, with the resort tax revenues resulting from the 3% rate starting February 1, 2025, to be used as follows: (i) 25% for property tax relief; (ii) 58% for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of streets, storm sewers, all underground utilities, sidewalks, curbs and gutters; (iii) 10% for improvements and maintenance of bicycle and pedestrian paths and other park acquisitions, capital improvements, and equipment; (iv) 3% for the maintenance and replacement of existing improvements of the Whitefish Trail; and (v) 5% for the merchants' costs of administration. No. 2601 WHITEFISH PLANNING BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The regular meeting of the Whitefish Planning Board will be held in person on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Whitefish City Council Chambers in City Hall. Upon receipt of the recommendation from the Planning Board, the Whitefish City Council will hold a subsequent public hearing for items 1-2 on Monday, August 2, 2021, and items 3-4 on August 16, 2021. City Council meetings start at 7:10 pm and will also be held in person at City Hall. Maureen Casey is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a guest house. The proposal is to add a new primary residence to the property at 350 Armory Road and designate the existing structure on the property as a guest house. The property is currently developed with a single-family home and is zoned WCR (Country Residential District). The property can be legally described as Whitefish 5 Acre Tract AMD Lot 2 Block 1 TR1 in S25, T31N, R22W, P.M.M., Flathead County. No. 2600 Whitefish Legacy Partners is requesting proposals on behalf of the City of Whitefish from interested contractors for Holbrook Overlook trail construction for the summer and fall of 2021. The ~4 miles of single track and natural surface trail will extend from a new trailhead located 3.6 miles up the Big Mountain Road on USFS lands. Specifications and guidelines will be available by 8am Monday June 28, at Whitefish City Hall at 418 E. Second St., Whitefish, MT, or online at www.whitefishlegacy.org. Quotations will be due by 4:00pm on Tuesday, July 20, with work slated to begin as soon as possible thereafter. Trail construction should be completed by October 1. Trail construction will be separated into two projects: Upper Trails (2.1 miles) and lower trails (1.8 miles). Proposals should be submitted to the Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department referencing Whitefish Trail Upper Holbrook Trail Construction or Whitefish Trail Lower Holbrook Trail Construction.
