Summer ArtFest set for June 24-27

Artist demonstrations, auctions and an outdoor paint out, the Summer ArtFest is set for June 24-27 at various venues around Whitefish.

The festival takes place over four days with the painters, sculptors and engravers attending representing many of the top artists of the American West, according to event organizers.

Summer ArtFest is excited to announce a return to its original dates of the last weekend of June. Events include a plein air paint out, discussions guided by Forbes.com arts contributor Chadd Scott, artist demonstrations and a silent and live auction.

Events begin on Thursday, June 25 with a plein air paint taking place all day. The event is open to the public.

On Friday, June 25 from 3-5 p.m. an interview with Forbes Magazine Arts Contributor Chadd Scott is followed by a kick-off reception from 6-9p.m. at Frame of Reference.

On Saturday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., there is a small works silent auction with artwork available for bidding at Cawdrey Gallery. From 6-9 p.m., a wine and cheese meet and greet with the artists takes place.

Artists will be completing a quick finish artist demonstration piece on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. which will then be auctioned by Troy Black and Associates, the premier auctioneer of the Western art world.The auction is from 3 to 4 p.m. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to a scholarship fund for local students pursuing a career in the arts, administered by the Whitefish Community Foundation.
