Police Calls: Transients, not trolls, found under bridge

Thursday, June 4

7:03 a.m. A drunk man was refusing to leave a Depot Street lobby without purchasing a ticket.

8:20 a.m. A caller wanted to know why the man seen pushing protesters the previous night was let go by law enforcement.

9:35 a.m. A caller was concerned about someone burning notebooks behind a Highway 93 grocery store.

10:09 a.m. Someone stole the Copperwood Court caller’s keys while he was in the shower.

4:18 p.m. A caller claimed the six teenagers they saw on a trail were part of “Antifa.”

Friday, June 5

1:01 a.m. A loud party on Wisconsin Avenue was bothering some neighbors.

7:31 a.m. For the second night in the week someone attempted to break into the caller’s vehicle on Preserve Parkway.

9:31 a.m. The caller believed the vehicle parked in front of his mother’s house was a stalker or private investigator.

9:48 a.m. A caller felt like some of the Black Lives Matter protesters should also be charged with disorderly conduct.

12:32 p.m. A black bear visited a Wisconsin Avenue deck before wandering off again.

4:58 p.m. The caller was reporting graffiti at a Highway 93 location.

9:02 p.m. A caller claimed a nearby house on Somers Avenue was both the home of a marijuana operation as well as a puppy mill.

Saturday, June 6

9:52 a.m. A Baker Avenue resident was receiving death threats from his neighbor after throwing tree branches over his fence.

10:39 a.m. A vehicle took out the caller’s mailbox, but left a piece of its bumper.

2:22 p.m. A caller reported someone using the “F” word at a public protest and claimed it was against the law.

3:04 p.m. The caller was worried about protesters busing in from outside the area.

Sunday, June 7

9:23 a.m. An observant caller spotted two people sleeping under a bridge off Edgewood Place.

11:33 a.m. A Dakota Avenue caller reported constant speeding and partying in their area.

2:54 p.m. A caller was worried about “the Antifa.”

4:44 p.m. A Waverly Place caller believed someone was throwing their mail away.

5:07 p.m. The caller was concerned after watching a vehicle with a Trump flag drive by.

Monday, June 8

3:14 p.m. Someone stole packages off a Woodside Lane porch.

9 p.m. A Florida caller wanted to know if an unruly man at a peaceful protest days earlier would be charged.

Tuesday, June 9

2:07 p.m. A black bear scaled a 6-foot fence en route to a Wisconsin Avenue caller’s garage.

5:58 p.m. A “cinnamon colored” black bear was scared away by the caller on Glenwood Road.

Wednesday, June 10

8:20 a.m. Transients were spotted sleeping under a bridge.

7:05 p.m. A caller was calling asking for prayers.

8:53 p.m. Two bears didn’t seem to be afraid of the caller near Pack Rat Lane.
