No. 2567 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SOLID WASTE CONTRACT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 7:10 PM, held remotely via WebEx, the Whitefish City Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the proposed solid waste contract with Montana Waste Systems, Inc. dba North Valley Refuse and also locally referred to as Republic Services. The five-year proposed contract provides for the transition of billing for garbage services to be administered by the City beginning March 16, 2021. An automatic three percent annual increase in fees charged to the City beginning October 1st of each year is also provided. The City intends to set garbage rates for its customers at a subsequent City Council meeting. There are no immediate increases to the current rates paid by customers anticipated as a result of this contract.
