Larson will protect open lands

| August 12, 2020 1:00 AM

We moved to Whitefish in 1969 when it was a quiet little town where my husband and I both found work at the Big Mountain Ski Resort. We were fortunate to make Whitefish our home and raise our sons here. Now the world has discovered our piece of paradise and though we recognize the benefits of growth, we also realize that many problems are rising as our population expands. Kristen Larson, candidate for Flathead County Commissioner, realizes that it is a delicate balance as the Flathead grows to support both our growth while protecting the open lands we love.

Kristen grew up in Kalispell and is the owner of the Glacier Lanes in Columbia Falls. She also is the founder of “Happiness is a Warm Sleeping Bag,” providing relief for the Flathead homeless in winter weather.

Kristen understands how important it is to have a county government that works for the people and believes we need more public input in our county decisions. Her experiences as a businesswoman has given her the reliance to get the job done and her commitment to the stewardship of our natural resources shows Kristen won’t back down when faced with a challenge. I am proud to endorse Kristen Larson for your next Flathead County Commissioner.
