Familiar names top list of winners in annual Big Mountain Run

The 38th Big Mountain Run moved to a solo run this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
All winners were locals this year. Isabelle Cooke as the fastest woman and the Princess (16 and under) with in a time of 49:28.
Leah Bishop was the Queen winner with a time of 50:28, narrowly edging out many time Queen winner, Vonda Garcia.
Jacob Henson was the overall winner and the Prince in a time of 40:23.
Franz Ingelfinger won the King category with a time of 44:28 and led the Ingelfingers (Franz, Cynthia and Maeve) to a win as the Fastest Family. They narrowly edged out the Morrison Family from Helena.
Six men and four women earned Birthday Club status beating their age for men and age plus 10 minutes for women.
For many runners, this is not their first run up the Mountain and in fact Mike Muldown ran in the first race and has raced almost every year since.
The run began in 1983 as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Glacier Nordic Club’s youth programs and still supports the same cause today.
