Golf course opening May 4

| April 7, 2020 12:35 PM

The Whitefish Lake Golf Club is scheduled to open for business as of May 4 this year, which is considerably later than normal as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.

We understand that golf courses have not been directed to close, but we want to encourage everyone to obey the current order to stay at home. Our greens crew will be preparing the course for opening and conditions should be excellent once the gates are open. Players can expect to see changes in course set up due to the virus with the cups inverted so players don’t have to reach in to get their ball. The rakes, ball washers and benches will not be seen as they are common touch points to be avoided. The board of directors and staff appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. We will survive and our favorite outdoor activity will be available soon.

The Whitefish Lake Restaurant is presently open for take-out and delivery on Wednesday through Sunday evenings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Call 862-5285 to place your order and see the daily menu on social media and the website www.whitefishlakerestaurant.com and then call after 2 p.m.

The staff appreciates the support from the community and we urge people to support all our local businesses serving take out as they struggle to survive.

The Golf Shop is closed to the public for now as is the driving range and putting green. Watch our website, golfwhitefish.com, and this column for weekly updates.

The golf shop will issue you your tour card if you call and make arrangements to meet someone at the door so they can hand you the card.

Please stay safe, stay healthy, stay home, maintain the social distancing and avoid crowds.

Memberships available online 2020 Golf memberships, the best deal in the region, are still available online at www.golfwhitefish.com. For questions call the Golf Shop at 862-5960 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or email to terry@golfwhitefish.com.
