The Lady Dogs cross country team took another first-place finish at the Thompson Falls Invitational last week.

Whitefish grabbed the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth place spots in individual placing, with Jessica Henson (20:35.1), Ella Greenberg (20:44.2), Jade Greenberg (20:51.3) and Josephine Vardell (20:53.8) all finishing within 20 seconds of each other.

Alie Simpson (22:07.8) also finished at 14th.

On the boys side, Miles Vrentas led the way with an eighth place time (17:39.1).

Bridger Gaertner (18.03.9) and Colter Gaertner (18.38.8) were the next top Dogs, finishing at 18th and 22nd, respectively. As a team, the boys finished sixth behind Frenchtown, Columbia Falls, Eureka, Ronan and Polson.

Whitefish on Tuesday hosted its own Whitefish Invite after presstime.

On Saturday they’ll travel to Missoula for the Mountain West Invite, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
